What is ND Filter ?

ND filters, also known as Neutral Density filters, are optical filters that reduce the amount of light that enters the camera lens. They are essentially gray filters that reduce light intensity while preserving color balance. Majorly ND filters used by photographer and videographer to capture more perfect photos and videos because ND Filter helps lens to reduce bright lights.

Types of ND Filters 

1: Fixed ND Filters: These have a predetermined level of light reduction, such as ND2, ND4, ND8, etc., with the number indicating the amount of light reduction. For example, an ND4 filter reduces light by two stops, whereas an ND8 filter reduces light by three stops.

2: Variable ND Filters: These filters allow you to adjust the amount of light reduction by rotating them. They have two polarizing layers that can be rotated relative to one another, resulting in a variety of light reduction values. They are adaptable, but can occasionally introduce color shifts or reduce image sharpness at certain settings.
